William Boone Arrives in Maryland

William Boone moved from Berks County, Pennsylvania to present–day Boonsboro in 1776 and married Susanna Parks around 1778.  He and Susanna made their living as a farm family, raising six children on a 100-acre tract of land with the farmhouse standing behind today’s Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ.
