Pass It On – Veterans Project

The following is a series of interviews with Boonsboro veterans, conducted at the Clopper-Michael American Legion Post #10 in Boonsboro as part of a series created by Kai Fairhall (an 8th grader at the time of the interviews).

It is part of an Eagle Scout project through Boonsboro Troop 20 to record the living history of Boonsboro’s military veterans, our local heroes.

To capture these life stories, Troop 20 Scouts and Kai arranged interviews of local veterans through the American Legion and other sources and make video recordings of their military experiences, collect pictures and make them available on our website with a brief biography.

Today, World War II veterans are in their 90’s, Korean War veterans are in their 70’s and 80’s.  Kai hoped to capture their experiences for the future generations of Boonsboro residents – a great community service and legacy of our town’s military heroes.
