Boonesborough Days Festival Food Vendor Pavilion Use & Cleanup Rider
Read all rules and policies and keep a copy for your reference. By submitting an application, you are agreeing to abide by all of the following rules and policies.
The Boonesborough Days Festival is a community celebration of local crafts, history, and food, held in partnership with the Town of Boonsboro and the Boonsboro Historical Society.
During the 2025 festival, issues were identified with the condition of the park pavilions following the event. Following an inspection by the Town of Boonsboro on the Monday after the festival, the Society was notified of debris and grease stains on the pavilion floors and on the surrounding macadam. To help preserve our shared park facilities and ensure the festival can continue for years to come, we ask all food vendors using park pavilions to review and agree to follow the guidelines below.
Pavilion Care & Cleanup Expectations
Food vendors are expected to leave the pavilion and surrounding macadam in the same condition as prior to setup. At the conclusion of the festival, vendors should:
- Remove all trash, debris, food residue, grease, and oil from the pavilion and surrounding areas
- Ensure pavilion floors and adjacent macadam are free from grease and food spills
- Complete any necessary degreasing or power washing before departure if needed to restore the area
- If additional cleaning is required and the Boonsboro Historical Society must arrange professional services, the associated costs will be billed to the responsible food vendor for reimbursement.
Grill Placement & Surface Protection
- Ideally, grills should be placed in the grass area adjacent to the pavilion rather than on the macadam.
- Whether placed on the grass or on the macadam due to weather or operational needs, grills should have a fire-retardant, grease-absorbing mat or protective covering to prevent damage to the surface underneath it.
Grease Disposal
To protect park facilities and the surrounding environment, cooking grease, oil, and liquid food waste must be removed from the site and disposed of properly off-site. Grease may not be poured onto the ground, into storm drains, in trash cans or into park trash dumpsters.
